Last Ditch Racing is proud to present the inaugural "Last Ditch Racing-Triple Caution Thong Award," to fellow New Englander Chris Sanborn and DJ Emmons for their stunning performance at the Susquehannock Trail ProRally in Pennsylvania. The thong is part of Last Ditch Racing's line of merchandise and can be seen at http://www.cafeshops.com/lastditchracing
Sanborn and Hathaway win the award by creeping from the back to the front of the pack, as a thong might, gaining 39 positions in the rally. The team finished 20th after starting in 59th position.

Last Ditch Racing drove their normally aspirated Subaru Impreza across the finish line at the Susquehannock Trail Pro Rally in Pennsylvania to earn a second place finish among Seed 5 drivers, a ninth place finish in the hotly contested Open Class and 26th position overall. The team started the event in 54th position.
Last Ditch Racing campaigned the only normally aspirated cars in the top ranked Open Class at the event. Driver/owner Cassidy is pleased with the effort. "The weekend was a very strong showing for the team, demonstrating once again that we're improving with each race." The event saw high attrition due to the wet and slippery conditions. Said Cassidy, "There were sections of some stages where I thought the steering wheel wasn't connected to the wheels anymore!"

Bangor ProRally team driven
Last Ditch Racing competitive in recent events
By Tom Hale in The Bangor Daily News
The Last Ditch Racing ProRally racing team of Bangor finished its quest to race on both ends of the continent by placing 26th in the Susquehannock Trail SCCA ProRally held over the weekend in Wellsboro, Pa. The previous weekend the Maine team finished 15th (fifth overall in the Open Class) in the Rocky Mountain Rally in Calgary, Alberta.
Team driver John Cassidy said the engine in the team's Subaru race car blew in stage five of the Pennsylvania rally.
"I was not disappointed in our race weekend since we placed eighth in the Sherwood Forest Club Rally portion of the event, thus earning our highest placing in a rally event in the United States," Cassidy said. "Our Bangor team was the highest placing nonturbo car in the Club Rally."
Despite a broken spring in the car's suspension, the rally team moved up four places after the first stage, three more in the third stage, and held its own in the fourth stage of the Pro Rally.
